Grapejuice’s R33 GT-R

There’s some people you come across that always just get it right. Their taste is unquestionable and they consistently manage to execute. One such person is a good friend of mine, Justin(affectionately known as Grapejuice). I’ve known him since I was a teenager(which is a long damn time because we’re old as hell) and in the span of our friendship.I think I’ve known him to have built probably 6 or 7 cars and every single one of them was super clean. His newest project, this R33 GT-R, is no exception.

I remember receiving a text from Grapejuice saying he was putting his previous car(a very very nice white R32) up for sale and I was pretty shocked. It was originally a different color and after a small on-track incident, he opted for a bold color change to R35 Brilliant White Pearl. Having recently finished it I was shocked that he’d be so quickly moving on. But I trust his vision and knew that whatever came next would be a winner. I wasn’t wrong.

Nearly every car I’ve known Justin to own has had bronze wheels. Most recently a clean set of OG bronze CE’s. I initially questioned the choice to go with diamond silver CE’s on the 33 but again, I should have trusted the vision.

While it was a street car, his previous R32 was definitely more track oriented in its build philosophy. For his newest creation, Grapejuice has opted for a more refined, street oriented setup.

This new build is still in its early stages, and has actually already had a few pretty impactful changes since these photos were shot. I’m excited to see where he takes this car and will be sure to do an update down the road. As usual, full gallery is below.
